The people are here, the Government is listening!

Building a Nation, any Nation at all, will require the collaboration of efforts of both the elected Leaders and the electing Followers. It is having all hands on deck to build a Nation and rather than throwing all responsibilities of Nation building on the table of elected Leaders.

This Platform Lets us identify our National problems and proffer solutions to them.

Simply mean that we, each, love our Nation and seeks her well being for us, and the generations after us all.
To label your own Nation as a bad environment, is a simple way of labeling yourself as 'bad' too. Why? That World knows that you are a product of your environment.
To enjoy a Home, we must first own it as our own and be loved in it. Nigeria is our own Home!

There is a role that Citizens must play, and it is also a role of responsibility and accountability.

To bring the Government’s ears and presence to the People. To create the medium of direct conversation with the People. If you write a letter, make a call, send an email or reach the Government by any means, you must get a response, a direct response.

Speakers Excerpts from G2C Interface deliberations

Nation Building which is a Collective feat!

A gap is noticed, between the Leaders and Followers anyway, where these two Parties can relate, deliberate and foster a developed environment called Nigeria.

OUR COMMITMENT

Some of our best hands, are busy building other people's Nations right now. They are still part of our development story and journey.

We must place all hands on deck to develop Nigeria.

The Imperatives of improving government revenue and the role of Stakeholders | Friday 6th December 2024

Friday 6th December 2024

Every Nation of the world, finds development in knowing their own people, defining their own environment, enacting laws for their own people to live by and building an environment suitable for their own people.

That is real democracy! A government with the involvement of the people.

A Nigeria that is customized for Nigerians!

Who we are is defined by our own Citizens. How we run our organizations must be in consultation and continuous deliberations with the Citizens and relevant Stakeholders, because, no one knows it all.

Our government must embrace the open minds of the people

and collaborate to build the Nation, together.

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in Nigeria through its flagship program “Government to Citizens”, G2C Interface

G2C Interface has presented its scorecard under the leadership of its Executive Chairman Muhammad Nami.

Declaring the event which took place in Abuja, Nigeria open, the convener and Senior Special Assistant to Nigeria’s President on Political Matters, Bode Gbore said the forum was to bring the consciousness of the Nigerian people to the table of conversation with the government.

Mr. Gbore added that “distance and lack of participation of the citizens in governance leave few thoughts, one of them is the feeling of irrelevance”.

He explained that the forum “unfolds today how the FIRS impacted the Nigerian economy in recent years. Nigerian people are far more interested in participation by paying their taxes, to be assured of accountability and judicious use of taxes”.

Mr. Gbore noted that Nigerians will do more and better when they all sit at the table for conversation and deliberate on matters concerning Nigeria.

The Coordinating Director, of the General Tax Operation Group, FIRS, Mr. Kabir Abba said a presentation of the FIRS scorecard builds an avenue for collaboration with stakeholders.

Mr. Abba said it was FIRS’s responsibility to make the necessary revenues of the government available to the citizens.

The event featured reports from the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS under its Chairman Mahammad Nami and his team has worked hard enough for the purpose of national interest to the public view of the Nigerian people.

It also featured panel discussions on relevance, an overview of tax compliance and technological advancements in the area of tax collection.

The G2C interface is a forum that will continue to create a platform that brings the government and Nigerian citizens together for deliberations toward a better and more dignified Nigeria for all.
